Collection: Brian Westrick

Brian Westrick is a functional potter currently living in Dowagiac, MI. His introduction to clay started early as a child allowed to wander the fields and woods in Southeast Michigan. This curiosity in understanding the surrounding landscape and its natural materials drives his approach to creating functional work within his studio. Westrick received his BFA from Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI) in 2012, and later earned his MFA in ceramics from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2018. His work has been nationally collected and is featured in numerous private collections throughout the United States. Westrick feels that his work is complete when the wares have been integrated within domestic cycles of daily use.
