Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Northern Clay Center! Volunteers are essential to Northern Clay Center’s success and we’re so grateful for each and every one of you. Choosing to volunteer your time and talents at NCC supports our mission to advance the ceramic arts through education, exhibitions, and artist services. It also gives you an opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable experience in studio and gallery settings, and build relationships with people that share your interest and love for the arts. Volunteering at Northern Clay can look lots of different ways and we’re always happy to meet you where you are! Here are some of the ways our volunteers help out:

American Pottery Festival volunteers help us prepare our studios for live demonstrations and workshops; prep, paint, and install our exhibition; prepare and serve food to our visiting artists; and more!

McKnight Summer Open House and Winter Open House volunteers help us prepare our studios for the event, greet and direct guests, assist with our free hands-on workshops, and more!

The Rest of the Year volunteers help us keep the studios clean and functional, evaluate gallery inventory, unpack and pack pottery shipments, assemble Clay Care Kits for kids, and more!
