Collection: Nancy Diaz-Metz

Nancy Diaz-Metz grew up in Greenwich (CO) as the seventh sister of a Peruvian/American family. She holds a BA in early elementary education from Goddard College (Plainfield, VT) and an MA in leadership and community change from Antioch University (Yellow Springs, OH). Diaz-Metz has pursued her passion for ceramics through dedicated self-instruction, coursework at various community centers, and participation in specialized workshops. She is both a mentee and mentor through The Color Network–an organization that aids in the advancement of people of color in the ceramic arts. Creating and supporting opportunities for creativity, connection, and community is an important part of her journey. Diaz-Metz currently teaches beginner ceramics courses at Clay on Main (Oley, PA) and works out of her home studio in Kenilworth (PA).
